ОПИСАНИЕ

The homogeneous mixture of accurately pre-defined proportions of manganese oxide with grey-red baking lössial clay is responsible for the black colour of the brick. The colour ranges from mainly charcoal to pitch-black with blue shades. Through sintering of the brick, the different nuances of colour are obtained.

The facing brick (non-perforated) is sanded on five sides, and provided with an oblong sloping groove on one flat side. The structure is formed by a rough appearance with fine and irregular grooves in the sandy surface. The baking process is done in a gas-fired tunnel kiln under a slightly reducing atmosphere.
