Description
The magnificent brick. Roca is a hand-moulded facing brick from the Grigio range of Nelissen Brickworks. This brick is made from Löss from Limburg. The stone is extracted from the plateau of Kesselt in the Meuse valley. Then it gets upgraded with raw materials from the Volcanic Eifel.
Pressure
The non-perforated facing brick is sanded on five sides. Roca is provided with an oblong sloping groove on one side (frog, group 1). The structure of the Roca is characterized by a rough appearance with fine and irregular grooves in the sandy surface. The baking process is done in a gas-fired tunnel kiln under a slightly reducing atmosphere.
Color
The colour of the Roca is silver grey interspersed with dark colour deposits.
