Description
This hand-moulded facing brick is made from Limburger löss clay from the Kesselt tableland in the valley of the Meuse and revalue with raw materials from the Volcanic Eifel.
Pressure
The facade bricks (non-perforated) have fi ve sand covered sides and one oblong groove. The structure looks rugged with fi ne and irregular grooves in the sandy surface. The baking process takes place in a gas-heat- ed tunnel oven under slightly reduced atmosphere.
Color
The brick has a yellowish base, and the colour variations show pastel hues ranging from orange-red to dark red alternated with yellow shadings in accurately defi ned proportions.
