Description
Southern glow The Ceto hand-moulded facing brick is part of the Hammered range of Nelissen Brickworks. The facing brick (non-perforated) is sanded on five sides and may be provided with an elongated oblique notch on one flat side. The structure has a rugged appearance with irregular ribs in the sanding. The baking process is carried out in a gas-fired tunnel furnace under slightly reduced pressure. The rugged retro look of this brick is obtained by using a special ageing process. The base of the brick is yellow. The different colours of the substrate and the sand types used provide colours ranging from yellow to light pink with beige and grey shades, with white deposits visible. The ageing process also influences the colour shades.
