Description
This hand-moulded facing brick is made from Lim- burger löss clay from the Kesselt tableland in the valley of the Meuse and revalue with raw materials from the Volcanic Eifel.
Pressure
The facade bricks (non-perforated) have fi ve sand covered sides and one oblong groove. The struc- ture looks rugged with fi ne and irregular grooves in the sandy surface. The baking process takes place in a gas-heated tunnel oven under slightly reduced atmosphere.
Color
The homogenous mixture of accurately pre-defined proportions of manganese oxide with grey-red baking clay is responsible for the grey-brown colour of the brick. The colour ranges from dark grey to black.
