Description
This hand-moulded facing brick is made from Limburger löss clay from the Kesselt tableland in the valley of the Meuse and revalue with raw materials from the Volcanic Eifel.
Pressure
The facade bricks (non-perforated) have fi ve sand covered sides and one oblong groove. The structure looks rugged with fi ne and irregular grooves in the sandy surface. The baking process takes place in a gas-heated tunnel oven un- der slightly reduced atmosphere.
Color
The hues range from orange red to bright red as a result of the treatment and sanding of the typical Kesselt red baking lössial clay with brownish red fi ne-grained sand.
